madison and rob's e-session

Sunday, July 13, 2008

Last December we photographed a wedding that Madison and Rob were both in. I remember Madison saying that she was engaged and thinking that their wedding would be a blast to shoot. A few weeks later we received an email from the two of them and we could not have been more thrilled. Well if the e-session was any indication of how the wedding is going to be then we are going to have an amazing time!

We met the two of them at Madison's parents home. They own a beautiful piece of property and it could not have been a nicer early evening. We were even more excited to hear that they also owned some wheat fields. We ended the session there, gaining about 40 mosquito bites each, lol!!!

Thanks so much Madison and Rob! You guys were such a blast to hang out with and we cannot wait for your October wedding!

Did you know that the new Brandy J Photography site is live???!!! It has been up for a few weeks but I thought a formal announcement would be nice. Our friends at liveBooks have been very patient with us and we could not be more thrilled with the final result. The best part about the site is that it is so easy to update! Please go to www.brandyj.com to check it out and don't forget to visit again and again for new images!

the skinn family session on kelleys island

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

A week ago we met up with the Skinn family for a session on the ultra fabulous Kelleys Island! We had such a blast driving around on the GEM car! Josie, the Skinn's 3 year old daughter, especially loved the ride and having her picture taken. In fact we were blown away by how well she took direction. It was an incredibly fun session to shoot!

Thank you so much Skinn family! We had such a blast getting to know you guys! Hope to see you on the island sometime!

courtney, senior 2009

I had such a great time shooting Courtney's senior session! We started off around town and then traveled to Ohio City to shoot in a location that Courtney had thought of! This is always fun b/c it makes the session especially personal.

Thanks so much Courtney!

Even though last week was my first meeting with Olivia I felt like I have known her for over a year b/c of all the amazing things I have heard about her from her friends! She is such a beauty with a unique and sparkling personality. I am excited to see what the future has in store for this young woman. Every single second of this session was so much fun, it was hard to pick favorites!

Thanks again Olivia!

kristin and tim's wedding at notre dame

Thursday, July 3, 2008

It was almost exactly a year ago that we received an email from a man named Tim in regards to his Notre Dame wedding. We were so excited about the idea of shooting there, but in the end it truly was the people who made this wedding absolutely wonderful. In a time span of about one week Kristin and Tim relocated from Boston to Chicago, Tim graduated from Harvard business school and oh yeah, they got married=) Both being Notre Dame grads they knew there was not a better place to bring all of thir friends and family together. We were just lucky enough to be there with them all!

Kristin has a wonderful gracefulness about her. I love these of her before the ceremony.

Sneaking a peak at Dad.

The newlyweds at the Grotto.

We love fellow college football fans=)

Kristin did so much of the wedding herself, which I can truly appreciate. These were her placecards hung on ribbon with mini clothespins.

Rhubarb pie instead of cake, not a bad trade if you ask me!!!

Tim and his Mom.

The couple before the sun was completely gone.

And then back to the party...

We can not thank you enough, Kristin and Tim! Safe travels back from your Honeymoon and best wishes on your new lives together in Chi-town!

the white family

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

Our third family of the week was the White family. We had a feeling that the kids, Claire and Nick, were not too excited about having family pictures so hopefully we made it as painful as possible=) We started off downtown near some of the property that Mark, the dad, owns and then headed to a field for some images of the kids.

Thank you White family! We had a great time with you guys!!!

the slusher family

Scheduling this has been quite a challenge but we were finally able to all get together for the Slusher family session. Tim, the dad, is the owner of Slusher's Jewelry and Tuxedos. He was hoping to have some images of his boys in tuxes which they looked very dapper in. Grant and Avery are so full of energy! They had us cracking up the entire time!

They they changed into a more casual look.

The whole family.

Thanks again Slusher family!
