Our Last Night of an Amazing Honeymoon

Just an update for everyone:

Tonight was our last night in Italy. While we are ready to get back home to the good ol' U.S.A, we are saddened to leave this wonderful country! It has been an absolutely amazing experience and adventure, and we cannot wait to share images of it with you all. For now, we will leave you with a night shot of Venezia(Venice). This is a canal right outside of our hotel, mysterious and magical all at same time.

one year anniversary.

Exactly one year ago today, was the most important and perfect day of our lives! Brandy J and I were married 2.23.07 at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in beautiful Savannah, Georgia! It proved to be the perfect setting for our nuptials and now holds a special place in both of our hearts. It was an amazing first year of marriage for us and we can not wait to get started on year 2!

To Brandy J: Thanks for being the most wonderful, kind, caring, fun-lovin', adventurous, beautiful, and grand-slamminest wife a guy could ever dream of having! I love you and am honored to be your husband(although I am quite the project)!

We are off to celebrate with a Noble Tuscan Red Wines private tasting!

I know that many of you may think we dropped of the face of the earth but actually we are on our honeymoon in Italy! We opted to take our honeymoon on our one year anniversary for many different reasons. I do not think that waiting is for everyone but for us it was the perfect decision.

We will be posting many more images/stories very soon on our stay here - three cities total. Our internet connection leaves much to be desired so we are making work the top priority when we are able to connect. But for now I would like to post this image of the traditional one year anniversary cake. We decided to take our bites the eve of our trip. Brandy's take - "YUCK!!!" Sitcky's take - "Is there anymore?"

And then on my way to grab my favorite carry-on for packing I find these two little stowaways!! They are really starting to catch on to the whole packing means Brandy and Sticky are going to be gone for days things. Poor guys! We do have someone checking on them so they will be fine=)

jenelle and kevin wedding.

Yesterday we shot a fabulous wedding on a somewhat cold but very beautiful Ohio February day!!! Jenelle and Kevin had everything organized so well. They gave us loads of time to take images and they were up for anything, pretty much our ideal situation=) They had such a fun wedding party as well. Jenelle did pick out shorter dresses for the girls but despite the cold weather they had the best attitude which really made for some fun picks. And Jenelle and Kevin themselves did such a wonderful job during the creative portrait session! We were especially excited to shoot on the school bus that they rented to transport their wedding party. A first for us and we loved it!!!

katie and travis e-session.

We finally were able to get together with Katie and Travis for their e-session. Their schedules are just as crazy as ours so planning the time was tough but we could not have landed on a better winter day. Yes, it was a bit cold, but the sun was out and honestly it could have been way worse.

We shot the session in St Marys, OH which is where Katie is from. Sticky and Katie are cousins who both grew up in the small town. It has a lot of great history and just like Van Wert some really cool old buildings. We took a few by what we believe is an old grain building and then ducked into a cool alley and finished up.

Sticky and I are not doing anything particularly special for Valentine's Day. This is because we are soon leaving for our honeymoon (we opted to take it on our one year anniversary and we absolutely cannot wait!!!). I did however receive a very nice gift from two of my friends/business partners, Jordanne and Tara. We are working on a project together that we are very excited about (visit the tre blush blog to check it out)! These two lovely ladies sent me flowers because I have been a bit under the weather. It was such a wonderful surprise to see on my desk today! I loved one flower in particular so I thought I would share that with the rest of you.

Also is an image from our soon-to-be completed gallery. We began work on it last year but then decided it was too much to try to complete in the middle of wedding season. Things are now moving along nicely and we are very anxious to unveil it to everyone. I know, it's just a pillow, but I really do not want to release too much just yet.

it's fun to eat with turtles.

Stick and I have been wanting to have dinner with our good friends at Turtle Pond Photography, Nate and Amanda Reynolds, for so long!!! We finally had the chance and it was so much fun. Nate found a eatery that was exactly half-way b/t here and where they live near Indy. It was quite the dive but it didn't matter b/c we had good company=) I think we could have chatted for many more hours but it was a bit smoky in there and Nate and Stick wanted to make it home in time for their online poker tournament (geeks!!!).

Thank you Reynolds!!! We are so exited to see you soon (Vegas, right??!!).

welcome to our new blog!!!

Sticky and I are so excited to finally be releasing this! We knew that the old blog was in need of a MAJOR face-lift and hopefully all of our loyal blog readers will enjoy this as well=) We have so many exciting things planned in the coming weeks and this blog will be such a fantastic platform to share all of it=)

I have to thank Made by Madeline for transforming my vision into a blog. She does such great work!

As for the image above, yes, that is us!!! It was taken by our dear friends Katie and Chris Torres in Atlanta, GA. We decided to go with a shoe shot b/c if there is one thing that Sticky and I love next to photography it is SHOES!!! We are both a bit obsessed and of course we were more than thrilled to have such an awesome shot in our shoes!!!
