hello, lover!

If you are a Sex and the City fan then you knew right away what the title of this post meant! For those of you who are not, it is the best quote ever for describing a pair of absolutely gorgeous shoes!

I am a shoe person. Do I own a closet full of designer shoes likes Carrie? Unfortunately no. But I do think they are gorgeous and I could stare at them all day long as if I were in The Met or some other extraordinary museum.

So I have been toying with this idea for quite sometime to share the shoes that make me want turn to a designer shoe store's window and say "Hello, Lover!", just like Carrie. If you are not a shoe person, more than likely these posts will bore you immensely, I apologize in advance. If you are a lover of shoes, like myself, then please enjoy and check back weekly for the latest pair. I am hoping to post one every Weds night, a little something luxurious to get us through the rest of the week.

It only seems fitting that the first pair should be in honor of my favorite tv series and now movie, Sex and the City. If you have seen the movie you will know why these are so special! These are called Something Blue and they are by the one and only Manolo Blahnik. So many good things come from Italy and these are no exception.

I think that wearing a decadent pair of blue shoes for the "something blue" tradition is perfect for the eclectic and stylish bride. There are many gorgeous options out there to choose from but if you really want to indulge you can purchase these from Neiman Marcus (of course the price went up quite a bit once they were featured in the film).
