the pardon family holiday session

Sunday, November 30, 2008

For the last few years we have had the honor of capturing our friends, the Pardons. Johanna and Brandon are such a cute couple and with their two little boys, Jaxon and Briggs, they become one of the most stylish families I have ever seen. Johanna always does an amazing job on wardrobe but I think this year just may be my favorite. I love the muted colors and the old school tailored look for the boys. Johanna and I had actually discussed outfits beforehand and she put together exactly what we envisioned, so amazing!

Briggs

Jaxon, being silly=)

The whole family looking very good.

It was a very cold Sunday afternoon so we headed to Starbucks for some hot cocoa. Per usual this Starbucks had great light and furniture.

I am pretty sure the boys were wondering why on earth we were in this location for pictures.

The hot couple!

Thanks so much guys! Stick and I had a wonderful time and cannot wait to see you all again soon!

javin, kalen and myia

Sticky and I met up with the Etzler kids for a rather cold but fun holiday session. Quite honestly as I look at these I cannot believe how big all three of them are getting. Lil' Miss Myia is already 3, seems like yesterday we were shooting her infant session. The boys were energetic and so great to work with. All 3 of them did wonderfully despite of the miserable temps.

Javin, the oldest.

Little sister Myia.

Kalen, the entertainer=)

Thanks guys!

We are at the beginning of the holiday season and I could not help but post something with a little sparkle. After all, doesn't everything look a little brighter when it sparkles?

I stumbled across the beauties from desinger Christian Lacroix. A French born whos love for costume and color reflects in all of his designs. Lacroix's work always has a touch of whimsy to it, yet is very sophisticated. His love of all things topsy turvy is what makes his designs some of the most sought after by cutting edge celebrities.

A jeweled shoe is a great way to add a little pizazz to any ensemble. While shopping for your heels for this holiday season use these as inspiration to find something festive! These are available at Zappos Couture.

pretty lil' ruby

Last year we had the honor of photographing Laura and Ben's wedding. Shortly after that we received an email from Laura with a little side note that read "we're pregnant!". We were so thrilled to hear the news and even more excited when we finally got a chance to photograph the newest member of their family! Ruby is quite adorable, as you can tell, but she is also so sweet. Laura and Ben have such likable personalities and we can tell that Ruby is going to be just as fun! We shot this session in their gorgeous country home that they completely re-modeled themselves. It is such a beautiful home for this new little family.

Thank Laura, Ben and Ruby!!! Hopefully next time we will get to involve Walt in the session (their adorable mastiff).

the hohmans

Sticky and I had a wonderful time with the Hohman family last week. I know that we have been trying to work out a session for quite sometime. We actually had a session scheduled earlier in the month but it was a very gloomy day and I am so thrilled that we were lucky enough to reschedule on a gorgeous day! Kim and Dan have 3 kids - Kylie, Carter and Kaden. Kylie is so sweet and very grown up for her age. I think she is wonderful big sis to her twin brothers. The boys were just that - all boy! It was so great to see how different their personalities are yet they are both incredibly sweet. We had a wonderful morning with this family!

Thanks again Hohmans!

jordanne and seth's holiday shoot, california style

Friday, November 21, 2008

Stick and I have some of the greatest friends and lucky for us they live all over the country=) In the last few months we have had business out in Southern California which is so great for us because Jordanne and Seth live there. This last trip could not have been more perfect as far as timing for their Holiday shoot, lil' Miss Jordanne has a very amazing new look! She always looks so great, she is a very talented hair and make-up artist among a plethora of other creative things. Of course these two could shave their heads and dye their skin green and they would still be one of the hottest couples ever! They are always and absolute blast to photograph and we are honored to call them friends.

A special thank you to Regis Chen for some amazing lighting skill. He is another one of our fabulous Cali friends, we truly cannot say enough about this guy! We were able to snag a couple quick ones of him as well:

Thanks to everyone for making our trip to Cali so fun! Can't wait to come back, hopefully sooner than later=)

maegan, senior 2009

Thursday, November 20, 2008

I cannot believe that we have reached the end of our senior season! Maegan was my last gorgeous girl that I had to meet up with this year. She came to her session solo which was nice for me b/c we got to have some great girl talk in the car=) Maegan could not have been a better senior to end with. Cute, spunky and fun - just an absolute joy to photograph!

Thanks so much Maegan! And thank you to all of my seniors! You have made this year one of the best ever=)

the fast family, holiday 2008

I would have to say one of our absolute favorite things about family portraits is watching the children grow and change into little individuals. We have gathered some of the greatest families a photographer could ask for in past years and the Fasts' are nothing short of fabulous! Tisha always has everyone dressed to the nines! This year we had a vintage feel complete with an old car. The only draw back was the weather, not only was it cold but it was windy. Nonetheless we had a fantastic time!

Whitley has been one of our blog fans favorites. Everyone loves her name and her eyes!

Just love Clayton's expression in this. Also notice how mom Tisha's smile glows, even when she is not the complete focus of the image.

Thank you Fast family! We are already looking forward to next year!
